Step 1: Selection of Herbal Oil
Warm medicated oils like Maha Narayana Taila, Brahmi Taila, Ksheerabala Taila, or coconut-based oils are chosen based on the individual's dosha.

Step 2: Positioning the Person
The person lies down comfortably on a wooden therapy table.

A Shirodhara pot (Dharapatra) is placed above the forehead.

Step 3: Continuous Oil Pouring
Warm herbal oil is poured in a steady rhythmic stream onto the forehead for 30 to 45 minutes.

The oil flows from the forehead to the scalp and hair, ensuring deep relaxation.

Step 4: Gentle Head Massage (Optional)
A mild Ayurvedic head massage is given post-therapy to enhance relaxation and absorption of oil.

Step 5: Rest & Herbal Drink
The person is advised to rest for 20-30 minutes before taking a warm bath.

Herbal tea or Ayurvedic Kashayam is given to boost the therapy’s benefits.
